What does the job involve?
You’ll work on commercial low-voltage projects installing and supporting systems such as CCTV cameras, fire alarms, speakers, access control, security systems, and structured cabling. Work may include pulling cable, installing devices, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting.
Do I need experience?
No. Previous low-voltage, electrical, construction, cabling, or technical experience is helpful, but we also consider motivated applicants with little or no experience who are willing to learn and work hard.
How much travel is required?
This is a 100% travel position. Projects are located throughout the United States, and technicians should be prepared to work away from home for extended periods. This is not a local-only position.
What is the work schedule?
Most projects are worked overnight/graveyard shifts, typically Sunday through Thursday. Hours and schedules may vary depending on the project, so flexibility is important.
How much does it pay?
Pay starts at approximately $18/hour and increases based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Additional hours and overtime opportunities may be available depending on the project.
Are travel expenses covered?
Yes. ISFI coordinates or covers approved travel-related expenses for company projects, including lodging and other required project travel expenses. Specific arrangements can vary depending on the project and location.
How long will I be away from home?
Project assignments vary, but technicians should be comfortable being away from home for extended periods. Because we work nationwide, this position is best suited for someone who enjoys traveling and is comfortable making travel a regular part of their job.
What happens after I apply?
Applications are reviewed by our team. If your availability and qualifications match what we’re looking for, we’ll contact you by phone or text for a short conversation and discuss the position, travel expectations, next steps, and onboarding.
Is a background check or drug screening required?
Yes. Because ISFI works in the security industry and our technicians may have access to sensitive commercial facilities and security systems, employment may require a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring and onboarding process.
